In this report we outline our approach to virtual training of a youth research team that implemented our research project to investigate the effectiveness of an intervention to foster social emotional development in Rohingya children living in the refugee mega-camps located close to Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. We outline our team-building strategy, the materials used for training, the topics covered in training, and report the findings from an assessment of our training approach. We provide a researcher checklist to serve as a practical guide for future initiatives that incorporate virtual research education programs for refugee youth living in camps.
