E. Mark Cummings, Ph.D., is the William J. Shaw Center for Children and Families Professor of Psychology at the University of Notre Dame. His work focuses on adaptive and maladaptive family processes and development, including relations between family and community contexts, cultural contexts of political violence for children and families, prevention programs to improve family functioning, and children’s adjustment and well-being.
