David M. Sobel

David M. Sobel, Ph.D. is a Professor of Cognitive, Linguistic, and Psychological Sciences at Brown University. His research focuses on young children’s causal thinking and their developing social cognition, including theory of mind, pretend play, selective learning, and prosocial behavior. He examines how family interactions relate to children’s causal knowledge and behaviors in both the laboratory and everyday life.
